Important Information from Bruce Archibold, Managing Director of Isca Barum

Please note that Tokio Marine Kiln Insurance (TMKI) has placed its insurances in “run off” (it will not renew existing business) from the 20th June 2019.  TMK will, however, still continue to trade in Lloyds as:

Syndicate 510

Which comprises of six divisions:

  • Property & Special Lines
  • Marine & Special Risks
  • Reinsurance
  • Accident & Health
  • Aviation
  • Enterprise Risk

Overall Group profit for the financial year fell to £1.8m from £4.8m in 2016.  This drop was driven by the underwriting performance of TMKI.

TMKI’s Gross Written Premium contribution to the Group is believed to be around £150m – the Group handles around £2bn of Gross Written Premium.

We will be looking to replace insurance cover for our clients who have policies with TMKI at renewal or where problematic (and where possible) move cover to Syndicate 510.

If your business has insurances with TMKI and are having problems in finding alternative markets, please speak to us on:

  • 01392 363111 (Exeter)
  • 01271 320320 (Barnstaple)

We would be delighted to talk to you.
